LEGALITY OF ONLINE POKER
Introduction:
The legality of online poker can be different from the ways of online casino gambling. However, a lot of issues from casino gambling do not match with online poker. The process of online gambling has been legalized in a lot of countries, including the nations around the Caribbean Sea and the United Kingdom. In the year 2005, February, the house of representatives of North Dakota in the United States of America passed a bill to regulate and legalize the process of online poker, the operators and the online poker card rooms. The legalization process required the operations of online poker to physically locate them in the state. In spite of all this, the state senate defeated the measure of the bill by the United State justice department, sending a letter of disapproval to North Dakota attorney general. It stated that, the game of online poker may be illegal. It also said that the bill may violate the Wire Act of the federal. But, many legal people disputed this claim of the justice department.
Integrity and Fairness of Online Poker:
Most of the critics have been questioning the fairness of the online poker games and the operators of these games.
